Being yourself with the Light of Christ

I do what a good Christian does each day. I start my day by reading a devotional, my Bible, and a memory verse. I get on my knees and pray. Does this get me to heaven. No. Why do I do this every morning? I do this out of habit and need. I feel off and lost if I don't read my Bible. I need to keep the Word of GOD close to my heart.

This ritual I have every morning is my daily journey to keep the light of Christ in my life. Whenever I interact with people more and more I hear the little voice in me to mention the Lord Jesus. I interact with people in a kinder fashion. I am no longer fearful of what to say or the expression of my face and body to this person. I feel more and more at ease talking about Jesus and his affect on me and the people around me. I walk with the Lord.

I am not any different a person now or like I was 30 years ago. I still talk too much some times, I loose track of time and the subject I was talking about ; but I now seem to more easily come back to God and my faith in the end. I guess Christ is leading me along. I'm ok with that. This is my journey on the road to heaven.

Life keeps going on,

Down the road to home.

I know that what comes next,

But worries are not on my mind.

The person that I am,

Is not the person I may seem;

The person that talks with you,

Is guided by the Lord.

The Spirit dwells within,

He guides my speech and way.

I know not what to say ,

But what comes from my heart.

Being a light to the world,

Is not what my light but HIS.

I willing give myself to Him

Jesus is the light in me.
