Is there war? I have been watching a tv series on Paramont+, Halo. I know the world of make believe is a marvelous and great things to watch and forget this world. But today as I watched the people of the series were raging a loosing battle to save one of the principle planets of the universe of Halo. It was dramatic and well filmed and put together. I had a tear for the people in their struggle. Why?
That is why I writing to tell you. There was scene where John117 met with a corporal in a church. The conversation made a point that brought my thoughts to us and our lives today. We are at war, but most don't see or understand the war we are in. There are us Christians that know the war, it has been won by Christ on the cross, and the battles continue until we meet with Christ in heaven. The people of this world that know not Christ, don't see or acknowledge the war. To the world life goes on and when troubled they seek different ideas of this world to get by.
I once wrote a poem in my book to illustrate this contrast between knowing and not knowing. The Title is "War"
War is an ugly thing,
War is always here.
Peace
I see no war,
There is only peace throughout the world.
War
War is an ugly thing,
This war is not before the eyes'
Peace
I am at peace,
I feel at peace within, no conflict.
War
The war we fight is within,
Good and evil is always in a battle.
Peace
I am a good person,
I sense no fighting in me, no evil.
War
God, the Lord Jesus fights with me,
I can win battles, but Jesus won the war.
Peace
I see the peace at the end of time,
I see there is a war on earth.
In heaven I will have peace.
War
As long as we live on and in this world, we will be in a battle. We battle our own personal demons, the demons of this world, and even the devil himself. With Christ Jesus at our side and the Spirit of the Lord for help, we can continue to fight our battles. In Heaven we will see the victory of the war as we stand in the presence of God himself. Jesus gives us the daily strength to fight.
May the Lord be with you all as you fight your daily battles in your walk with Jesus. Amen
