Find the Joy

I’m looking for the Joy.

I don’t where to look,

Maybe if I ride the bike

I’ll fine the answer to joy.

So out to the garage I go.

I am going to find Joy,

No matter what it takes

Joy is my ultimate goal.

The bike is ready and fueled.

I start the engine,

It rumbles to life,

The Harley is a sweet sound.

Off I roll down the driveway,

Down the street, down the highway.

I feel different, I feel free.

Is this the Joy I seek?

I don’t quite have the feel.

Something still is missing.

My sense is sharp and real,

But the Joy I’m not sensing.

I saw the trees, the flowers, the sky.

The view was beyond awesome.

Then I knew what I saw.

The Lord showed his glory,

The creation of God before me.

I only needed a reminder.

My Joy is always here.

I have God’s majesty all around.

I need not wonder or doubt.

My Joy is here and with me.

Patience is in short supply.

I need a truck load today.

What can change emotions?

What can stir the heart?

I think above to heaven,

While here on earth I am.

Patient waiting is rewarded,

When I see my Savior Lord
