What I saw in my wife's eyes?

Again I give my body to get fixed.

I need another part repaired,

With this repaired I'll walk.

Maybe some day I can run.

Many times in the past,

I've had to get a doctor's fix.

But this time it seems so different,

I look into my wife's eyes.

Her eyes are not the same,

This time I see more tears.

It is because of my older age,

Or is it the love over the years.

The doctors did the surgery,

All went well with the fix.

I took longer for recovery,

The rest of my body didn't like the fix.

But now all is good with us.

I am on the road to newness.

My wife has no sadness.

We thank the Lord for his goodness.
