Why on earth?

If you have lived a short life or a long life, this question can be on your mind at any age. A school aged boy can ask about how the other boys treat him. A high school girl ask why the boy she likes won't look or talk to her. Why is life so tough when we are trying to make a living, stay ahead, live as good as our neighbor? The questions can go on forever. But I would like to focus on the individual personal why inside all of us when it comes to our relationship with Jesus.
I've been reading a book written by a pastor and theologian from Germany, he was killed in a concentration camp two days before it was liberated. It is an intense book that I have to read slowly and some times stop and let my mind absorb some of the arguments he puts forth. I find the logic and Bible quotes all line up for a good theological point about and for faith.
I struggle myself almost daily with my role, my discipleship at this time in life. I'm retired and live quietly with my wife. I am not traveling as before as a truck driver. I have limited new connections or faces to interact with anymore, but I know being still on this earth the Lord is not done with me yet. I once told another believer that when he was struggling in his faith life. He listened to my logic and it renewed a sense of purpose in his life. Now I see it's time for me to take my own advice.
As a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ I am not ashamed of my Faith or afraid to tell others about my Faith. I just have to take the call Jesus is giving me at this time to share expand and spread the Word of the Lord from this point in my life. There are times that the path we are to take is not always easy to follow. I am taking it one step at a time. I'll go to places I usually go, I'll spend more time at church, I'll interact at every point that presents it's self. Lord will always be with me.
"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." Mark 16:15 NIV. The Lord has called in my place in life as he has called all of us to go and preach. This not as a pastor or a teacher would do! Sometimes it is a simple sharing of our faith by answering a question or a well placed reply in a conversation. We all need to as it is said to walk the walk and talk the talk. This is how I am going to answer the call I have from my Lord Jesus. How will you answer Christ call in your life?
